You must be able to setup and run the extruder as well as adjust, troubleshoot and maintain production rates. You will also be responsible for basic preventive maintenance for your line. Other duties will include completing daily documentation such as production reports, maintenance requests and machine log.  1583:  TOOL MAKER, CLASS “A”:  Expanding precision injection molding operation offers opportunity and challenge to the skilled Class “A” Tool Maker with 5 years of experience. Must have experience using micro-welder and wire EDM. Must be able to repair tools in the press if possible to enabling a quick turnaround. Skill set should also include blueprint reading and critical thinking skills. Must be able to layout and design revision/repair as needed. The ability to design and build electrodes and layout all stages of the mold build with limited supervision. Individuals who have 3D programming experience (MasterCam) have worked with precision molds, Kaizen and within an RJG environment are highly sought after. Will machine mold components and fixtures as indicated on drawings and dimensions provided. Will disassemble production molds, clean the molds and reassemble upon completion. Will perform mold maintenance tasks as required. Will operate tool room equipment at a high level of competency including MasterCam, CNC mill, CNC EDM, manual surface grinders and mills. Will adhere to all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area using 5S.  1582:  SENIOR SETUP TECHNICIAN:  A rapidly growing and expanding producer of high tech injection molded items seeks a hands-on professional for key position. Will be responsible for molding equipment setup, tool installation, startup and shutdown. Will perform daily mold inspection and cleaning, clean screw barrels, and handle preventive maintenance tasks. Will cycle in part ensuring that equipment is properly adjusted to produce acceptable parts within production standards. Will work closely with other departments to resolve technical problems and will maintain proper documentation on scrap, machine usage and work orders. Will also provide guidance to other Setup Technicians including monitoring progress of Trainees on shift. To qualify, you must have 4 or more years as a Setup Technician in an injection molding environment that utilizes RJG decouple molding, Kaizen and/or lean manufacturing techniques and procedures. You must have Master Molder certification. You must also possess a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills. Individuals with an Associates degree, clean room or robotics experience and DOE/quality experience are highly sought after. Starting “hire in” rate ranges from $14.80 to $23.32 depending on skill and technical abilities.  1576:  PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER, ELASTICS:  Southeast location.  1567:  THERMOFORMING PRODUCTION MANAGER:  Midwest location. Packaging Plastics Company is searching for a top notch Thermoforming Production Manager to join their ever-growing team. Must have Bachelor’s degree from four-year college/university and five plus years’ related experience. Must have 5+ years managing a within a packaging thermoforming department. Must have knowledge of thermoformed plastics, ISO/QS9000 standards, SPC, and current management theory. Will supervise, plan and coordinate Thermoforming Department activities including training and scheduling of employees, day to day operation, troubleshooting of machinery, and setting priorities, by performing the following duties either personally or through subordinate employees. You would spend 45% of your time troubleshooting, 15% with product design, 10% on machine and process design, 10% on project management 10% on safety, 5% on training and ISO documentation, and 5% on support in other areas, as necessary including new program implementation (FEA). To qualify, you must have a bachelors degree in mechanical, chemical or plastics engineering. You must have 5-7 years experience in process engineering or plastics related field.  1485:  CMM VISION SYSTEM PROGRAMMER:  Northeast location (Local candidates only please). Manufacturing Company in the electronics, automotive and medical industries is seeking highly motivated and talented CMM Vision System Programmer. Position requires an Associate’s Degree or higher and 5 plus years experience with CMM programming. Must be able to write complex programs for the CMMs Vision Systems and form testers as well as perform layouts and assist design engineers. Must have strong statistical measurement knowledge. They are looking for someone who has a BS degree, 3-5 years experience within a plastics injection molding manufacturing, project experience, FDA experience preferred, and a willingness to work on the floor. Successful candidate will also need 3-5 years experience with processing or with automation, including programming, troubleshooting and PLC experience. You will assist manufacturing in producing a quality product in a safe and efficient manner. You will handle projects that include purchasing and installing injection molding equipment, along with managing automation projects of new and existing assembly operations. While you will be working on some projects, you will spend a large portion of their time on the manufacturing floor, working with the employees and the machines. Salary range $60,000-$68,000 with excellent benefits.
